UNSW Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney are embarking on a nationwide survey of international students. It asks international students what help they need to avoid mistreatment by poor employers and accommodation providers.
The survey takes around 10 minutes and is completely anonymous. Participants can win a $500 Coles Myer voucher or one of ten $100 vouchers.
The survey is part of the Information for Impact research project which aims to enable education providers across the NSW VET, ELICOS and higher education sectors to more effectively deliver information that assists students to avoid and address exploitation. Funded by StudyNSW, project partners include English Australia, ISANA NSW, Redfern Legal Centre, Council of International Students Australia, education agents and the Fair Work Ombudsman. The findings will be published in a report in late 2019.
Please help to distribute the survey as widely as possible through email and social media.
